Terms of service

The deal between you and us, written so a normal person can actually read it.

Draft — not final

This page is a plain-English draft written to be reviewed by a lawyer before Trading Cockpit accepts any customers. It is not a finished legal agreement yet.

1. What Carefultrade is

Carefultrade is software that watches markets and can place trades inside an exchange account that belongs to you. We provide a tool. We do not manage your money, hold your money, or give you financial advice.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to trade where you live. You must use your own account, not someone else's, and you must follow the rules of your exchange.

3. Your account and your keys

You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for the keys you connect. Keys must be trade-only — never give us a key that can withdraw funds. You can disconnect a key or cancel it at your exchange at any time.

4. Your trades are yours

Trades happen because of settings you chose and permissions you gave. You are responsible for those trades and their results, including any losses, fees, and taxes.

5. No promises about results

We do not promise profits, and we do not promise the software will avoid losses. Please read the risk notice, which is part of these terms.

6. The service can be interrupted

We aim for the service to run reliably, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Outages at exchanges, internet providers, or on our side can affect trading. We may pause the service for maintenance or safety.

7. Paying for it

Paid plans are billed in advance on a repeating schedule until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Prices can change with advance notice.

8. What you agree not to do

Don't use the service to break the law or your exchange's rules, don't try to break into or overload our systems, and don't resell or copy the software.

9. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for trading losses or for indirect damages such as lost profits. Where we are found responsible, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the problem.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or creates a safety or legal risk. Disconnect your keys at your exchange when you leave.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we'll tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

12. Getting in touch

Questions about these terms can be sent to our support address, which will be listed here before launch.
